Would you be dining on a table like this in the near future? It could be possible. The InducTable is part-furniture, part-kitchen appliance. This table has a metal frame with inductors hidden beneath the temperature-sensitive surface. Basically, you can cook right on the table. When not cooking, the table can also recharge your device – in theory at least. Or it can power the nearby lamp since electrical induction uses no moving parts or even a physical connection.
