Wedgwood Jasperware Chess Set

Wedgwood, a company that makes fine ceramics, was founded in 1759. These unique chess set pieces are made of Wedgwood Jasperware porcelain and are based on characters from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The pieces were designed by 18th century designer John Flaxman but the chess set didn’t come to fruition until 2005 when only four chess sets were produced. Likewise, the hefty price tag you see here. The pieces come with a bird’s eye maple/amboyna burl signature chessboard. $9,995.
